RST NightWash™ is a fully automated solar panel cleaning system designed to increase solar energy production and preserve solar panel warranty. The system has no moving parts and is controlled via smartphone, allowing system owners to clean whenever they need to optimize solar production. It is common knowledge that solar is an excellent investment. But it is less well known that solar panels must be properly cleaned and maintained in order to maximize production and thus the investment. One of RST CleanTech’s biggest hurdles was educating solar owners about the importance of regular solar panel cleaning. And even the solar owners who are aware of the need to clean are often unsure how to do so safely and effectively. RST CleanTech’s educational challenge was complicated by the need to communicate their unique offering to a wide range of audiences at various levels of awareness. Moreover, their brand needed cohesiveness across both visual design and messaging to build credibility in the marketplace.
RST turned to DG+ to build brand awareness with a brand new website complete with powerful, refreshed key messaging that targets each of RST’s audience segments. We conducted deep-dive interviews with key stakeholders ranging from on-the-ground salespeople to CEOs in order to unpack the biggest barriers to widespread adoption of their automated solar panel cleaning system. In short order, DG+ launched a refreshed RST brand with an engaging new education-forward website along with a suite of sales collateral.
After the website launch, RST enlisted DG+ to support its ongoing marketing efforts with content creation (blogs, case studies, and social media), design (one-pagers, brochures, and sales materials), and digital advertising (Google, LinkedIn, and Facebook).
